This fine dining establishment in Kohler, Wisconsin, wanted a website to showcase the restaurant and winery with large imagery, highlight featured events and offer a dynamic experience for site visitors.
Here’s what we did to build a “dynamic” website for The Blind Horse: We created a home page with three main photos that enlarge when visitors hover over them. There are links from the home page and under navigation menus throughout the site that take users to event pages. We also created a static link in the header for live music events. The site features galleries with large, cycling images categorized by event type and menu category. We built a Content Management System for updates and provided training so The Blind Horse can manage content and event information.
To increase usability, we developed the site to display optimally on desktops, tablets and mobile phones from one data source. We incorporated icons to visually represent navigation items on a smaller screen and conveyed the website's feeling of movement and other features to smaller screens.
